SCAN1000 Version 4

1996 and we released SCAN1000 4 with a large number of new additions. They included:

  • Basic language scripting similar to Microsoft VBA (Visual Basic for Applications).

  • A 32 bit graphics program, ScanGX, created by Kaleel, another of our engineers, to offer a modern object orientated graphics design environment for displays. This required additional software to communicate with the existing 16 bit SCAN1000 system and would only run on Windows 95 or NT.

  • Hexjet32 for accessing database files – again, 32 bit only.

  • New networking modules to allow improved support for distributed systems.

The inclusion of Basic language scripting along with more flexible graphics options in SCAN1000 enabled our system engineers to design more complex, specific systems to suit a wider range of applications.
