DA1470

In conjunction with another company, Data Acquisition Ltd, the DA1470 was produced. A low cost single channel data acquisition unit with integrated 2 line LCD display and thermal printer. A number of projects were fulfilled by Data Acquisition and Hexatec using the product. One such use was a request by a government department to monitor pulses and record timing / frequency information. This could then be printed out when required. We never actually were told,or found out, what the unit was actually monitoring – contact was only through an obscure address in London. If you have read any of  John le Carré's books you may have an idea of the customer! One problem determined from this use was although the processor card worked fine in colder temperatures, the LCD and printer certainly didn’t!

MMPrinter

Based on the DA1470,the MMPrinter (Micro Monitor printer) was designed to take output from the Micro Monitor and produce hard copy data analysis for use on site.

This was a typical application for the DA1470, utilising its low power consumption along with hardcopy output.
