As with the initial versions, SCAN1000 Version 3.1 was the major release in 1992 following on from a low key version 3.
Articles in magazines such as Control Systems and Readout were now appearing regularly. Various documents such as this 1990 Product Description were produced.
The 3.1 release saw the office team adding many more documents:
We produced more adverts and press releases for magazine distribution
We contracted a friend to design and build a display stand for exhibition use as seen in the images. It folded up into a large wooden box ('the coffin'!) which just fitted into Dick's Volvo estate. Two large screens (remember they were all CRT then, not lightweight LCD!) loaded up the car and it was carted off to various exhibitions.
