SCAN1000 v5 includes a comprehensive range of development tools and facilities for developing application specific configurations. Design Tools - A wide range of object oriented tools are provided for developing and testing a project configuration. Powerful Auto-Creation Wizards - are used to automatically create a new project configuration within minutes. Communication Drivers - Supports connects to a wide range industrial hardware (PLC, DCS, Data Loggers, SCADA systems, etc) via Modbus, OPC, DDE & direct drivers (Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi). A Data Emulator - is included which emulates a PLC Network, which makes off-site development and support simple. Data Tags - The 'heart' of any system. All the data tags in the system are displayed in groups on a hierarchical tree. Alarms - Most systems have alarms to notify users of out of tolerance conditions. Display Pages - These are the main method of showing plant and process information. These include Chart Displays. There is also a 'Windows' feature for displaying data in a floating 'pop-up' window. A 'Library' facility is available to hold drawing objects ready for multiple use. Multi-Language Support - supports multiple languages in operators display pages, including special scripts e.g. Chinese, Arabic, etc. Web Page Secure Server - any configuration Display Page can be viewed remotely as a web page. Now you can visit the Control Room from your desk-top PC. User Security - Restricts and monitors 'User' access. Event Loggers - Sequential text messaging sub-system which can store / display errors, warning, values, etc., to text files, csv files, databases, etc. Timers - Time or period based event triggers. Scripting Basic - A comprehensive Basic Language scripting system allows programmatic solutions to be used to extend project configurations. Spreadsheets - Incorporates a traditional spreadsheet calculator within the software. For on-line calculations and report production. SMS & Email Alerts - A remote alert system for sending messages via SMS / Pager and Email. Databases - Provides direct read / write access to SQL, MSDE and Access databases. May be used for data storage, recipes, links to business systems, etc. Trend Historian Recorders - for long term, secure data storage and the display of trended data. Security Database - Centralised security database, for CFR21 pt11 & similar applications. Includes: User log-on information, calibration data and alarm set points. One database can support multiple systems.
