Display Pages are the principle user interface for the software and are customised to create a useful user interface (HMI). Displays are created by adding Drawing objects to a page and linking them to dynamic data points to create customised user displays for the project. Drawing ObjectsThere are a wide range of objects available:
There is also the facility to import pictures, drawings, ActiveX objects, etc. Drawing Editor Objects are selected from toolbars and menus and positioned on the display page in a similar manner to other Windows drawing packages. The advantage is that with this software, drawing objects can be made dynamic to reflect changes in data, i.e. animated. The Basic Objects toolbar includes simple objects such as lines, rectangles, text, as well as more sophisticated dynamic objects such as meters and bar graphs:
Object PropertiesDrawing objects have property pages which can be used to customise and animate each drawing item:
Drawing ToolsA wide range of useful drawing tools are available for Display Page development. An example is the 'Move' toolbar:
which includes tools to move and order selected objects. Advanced FacilitiesAs well as the basic facilities seen so far, Display Pages can include ActiveX objects, imported vector drawings and displays of complex objects such as spreadsheets, charts and trend graph displays. LibraryThe project library can hold copies of user defined, complex objects. These objects can be designed to be animated when placed on a display page. This allows easy re-use of designed objects on multiple pages. Pop-Up Windows Window objects are used to create pop-up pages, which float over the normal display page. They can be used for User input, more detailed information, etc. More on Display PagesDetailed information is available in the Software Manuals. |
