The Hexatec software consists of a series of related objects.

Auto Creation Wizards are widely used to create and link design objects to automate some of the design processes to save you time and money.

 

Objects

A variety of objects are arranged in a tree structure.  Each object is designed for a specific function.

For Example:
bulletTags: connect to data sources.
bulletPages: are used to display data.

There is also a range of Drawing Objects which are used within the display pages.

For example:
bulletRectangles that can change colour.
bulletData values displayed as text.

Designing a project consists of configuring individual objects, interlinking them and creating page displays.

 
Object Configuration

All objects, whether tree based or a display object, has a set of property pages which allows individual configuration of each object.

For example, the Rectangle Property Page shown illustrates how to select fill colour animation.  Each tab accesses a different set of properties.
Object Interlinking

Animation of a configuration is achieved by linking objects together.

There are three ways to link objects:

bulletTag Links
bulletEvent Links
bulletBasic Scripting

Tag Links are normally used for data animations, whereas Event Links are commonly used for actions, such as button presses, schedule timers and alarm triggers.

By using advanced drag-drop techniques, a wide variety of links can be made.

A comprehensive Basic scripting system allows programmatic solutions to be used together with these links.
