The embedded Spreadsheet
calculator offers a wide range of
capabilities within the security of the main package. It offers similar
functionality to a standard spreadsheet calculator but is faster and more secure
than passing data to an external application.

It is possible to implement a complex calculation by connecting real-time
data tags to spreadsheet cells and entering a suitable
formula. Results can then be used directly in the application.
Drag-drop support between tag objects and spreadsheet cells makes spreadsheet
design easy. Simply dropping a selected tag over a cell causes the cell to
update with tag data. The compliment to this is selecting a cell and dropping it
over a tag, which will cause the tag to update when a cell is recalculated. By
combining the links with suitable cell calculations, it is even possible to use
the software
as an intermediate data conversion system between various data servers and
clients.
With an array of over 200 functions, spreadsheets can often simplify project
design, which could otherwise require hundreds of lines of script.
Automatic
recalculation based on time period reduces processing overhead.
Spreadsheets may be included in the user screens to provide a dynamic tabular
data display.
Powerful cell formatting facilities, including font settings and the ability
to include pictures and charts, means that these spreadsheet displays can be used
as real-time reporting systems.
Spreadsheets displays may also be used when adding user input
forms to your configuration.
