SCAN1000, was first introduced in 1987 and has gone through a series of upgrades over the years. The last version, 4.4, was introduced to support changes in Windows XP.
Version 5 of SCAN1000 builds on this base to create a totally updated SCAN1000 package supporting all the latest standards.
OPC Data Sources
- Use all your existing data sources and earlier SCAN1000 interface drivers, and also use the latest communication standards (OPC) to take data from a wide range of input devices
Graphical Displays
- Version 5 offers a major graphical editor upgrade
- New custom graphic display objects can be added to displays: swinging needle meters, wide range of chart displays (including pie-charts), etc
- New Recorder trend graph displays provide greater flexibility: any number of lines can be displayed on a trend graph (previously this was limited to 10), multiple Y axes, display colours and styles defined separately for each page
- Trend graphs can be included within customised graphic pages
- Multiple Recorder pages can be displayed on one screen
- Add free text comments to trend displays and log files: e.g. ‘pump replaced here’
Web Linked Displays
- All displays and recorder trends are available as web-pages which may be viewed remotely using standard web browser software

- Alarm system enhanced with SMS Text and Email Alert messages
Spreadsheet Calculators
- Secure spreadsheets embedded into SCAN1000 allow easy calculations and reporting
